Child’s School for the Practice of Appropriate Childhood Education (SPACE), Inc is now  Antioch School Manila. ASM is a progressive school for boys and girls, grounded in the  Catholic faith and Christian values. 

in 2007, with only two small classes for children between 2 years and 4 years old, Child’s  SPACE was born. Due to the demand of the parents, Kinder was introduced as a prelude to entering the Big Schools in 2010. In 2013, Child’s SPACE took a leap of faith and literally moved from its birthplace to grow in a new site to establish its Grade School. Another 6 years and we opened our High School. Our School comes from a strong belief in the progressive philosophy, the continued desire to provide an appropriate and alternative education, and a  response to God’s call. 

ASM has and will always be committed to equipping its students to be lifelong learners by providing a dynamic, challenging, and relevant education. It continues to develop competent,  strong-willed, and responsible members of society. It places emphasis on laying the foundation of Christian values for children to mature into compassionate leaders who are passionate for  Christ and His Church.

ASM will provide a safe and outstanding 21st Century learning environment, serving all children,  their families, and the community. ASM students will acquire the knowledge, skills, and Christian values to lead and contribute positively to society.

MISSION

ASM is a Christ-centered community, committed to providing an excellent education that is progressive, appropriate, and innovative. ASM partners with parents and the Church in the  character formation of its students, to instill in them Christian values, an understanding that 

they are children of God and part of His Church, and to teach them how to uphold principles of human rights and dignity.

CORE VALUES

We have 5 Core Values that inspire everything we do: in our teaching and learning, in the classroom and outside the walls of our school, and in our service to others and in our relationships with one other and our community, rooted in our Christian faith and guided by  Mark 12:30 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. And others, as yourself.”  

At our core is our Faith in God. And with our faith, we believe that our students should develop the values of Obedience, Integrity, Fortitude, and Compassion. 

LEARNER PROFILE

The Learner Profile enumerates skills that we want our students to possess and exhibit. They are based on the skills that educators, psychologists, and even the government and economic industries believe that students must have in the 21st century. We aim all our learners to be  Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Critical Thinkers, Creative, Collaborators, Communicators, Initiators,  Problem Solvers, Ethical and Reflective.
